The Illusion of Diversification
Many investors buy 5 to 6 different Mutual Funds thinking they are highly diversified. However, if they buy 4 different "Large Cap" funds, all 4 fund managers are simply buying HDFC Bank, Reliance, and TCS.
The Result: You are paying expense ratios to 4 different companies to do the exact same job. This is called "Di-worsification". You are better off buying a single NIFTY 50 Index Fund at a 0.1% expense ratio.
